About Third Space Creative Therapies

Our approach is child-centred, trauma-informed, and guided by evidence-based therapeutic practices. We recognise that every child’s experiences, strengths, and challenges are unique, and we tailor our work to meet each student’s individual needs. By creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment, students are encouraged to explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace.

Creative arts therapy provides children and young people with alternative ways to communicate and process experiences that may be difficult to express through words alone. Through creative processes such as drawing, painting, storytelling, movement, and imaginative play, students are supported to safely explore emotions, develop greater self-awareness, and build healthy coping strategies.

Our Approach
Professional Care

Our work is grounded in trauma-informed principles. This means we prioritise emotional safety, empowerment, and trust while recognising the potential impact of adverse experiences on learning, behaviour, and wellbeing. Sessions focus on strengthening emotional regulation, resilience, and a sense of agency, helping students develop the skills they need to navigate challenges both within and beyond the school environment.

Collaboration with schools is central to our approach. We work alongside school wellbeing teams, teachers, and support staff to ensure therapeutic support aligns with each school’s wellbeing framework and complements existing student support systems. This collaborative approach helps ensure that interventions are practical, consistent, and responsive to the needs of the wider school community.

Through early intervention and supportive therapeutic relationships, our goal is to help students feel understood, supported, and better equipped to engage positively in school life.

Experience

Before moving to Brisbane, I supported children’s emotional growth through creative arts therapy in multiple school settings in London. Now it's time to bring my passion and dedication to helping young people across schools in Brisbane.
